THE PLEDGE

In light of the fact that hundreds of millions of children do not have access to primary and secondary education, I pledge my support for a new Global Fund for Education. The Global Fund for Education will make universal education a reality. The Fund will mobilize aid from donor nations, support national scale-up plans, ensure transparency, accountability and zero-tolerance of corruption, and put the focus on the world’s poorest and most vulnerable children.

Just as the Global Fund to Fight AIDs, TB and Malaria and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI) have been key to historic advances in global health sector, the Global Fund for Education will provide a historic breakthrough in education for the world’s children.
